Quick question? I have a 2000 vert with a 12 disc changer. Am installing a Z2 unit and removed the 12-disc changer.
There is a silver, about 6" X 6" box in the drivers side rear campartment with 2 plugs in it. Is this something with the changer or something else?
Thanks, Mark

Ahhhhh. This quote is golden to me. I'm about to install an Avic Z110BT this week and didn't want to have to dig around for the speed sensor wire. This is a beautiful thing. Easy to access. I also didn't know if the angle chuck I saw at Home Depot (same type pictured here) was going to fit and work for me. Now, I can also see from your pics that it will. Beautific.

I've since learned in a different thread that C5's do not have a VSS wire in the Bose harness. You actually tapped into something else, but apparently benign. Fortunately, the VSS connection isn't necessary for the GPS to function, but again, there is no VSS wire to the Bose harness in a C5, sorry to report. The only location for that wire that I've heard of to date is in the gauge cluster harness.
The right angle drill adapter IS available at Home Depot and mine was just $19. I drilled out the bracket today and will complete my installation tomorrow, hopefully, but I'd like to find an easier place to tap into the reverse light wire, hopefully, for the rear view cam.
