Personal Audio Link. It's GM's iPod long-delayed adapter.

Personally, I would not hold my breath. I'd pick up one of the many aftermarket adapters and use it while waiting. You can find them used for say $100.

I personally spoke with one of the interior designers and asked him about this issue almost 2 years ago. I asked if they specified the radio features or if Bose did. He said they pretty much build what GM specifies. I asked why in the heck you could hook up your iPod to a Volkswagen or a BMW but not a Corvette? All I got was a blank stare followed by "You're right, I'll look into that." Again, that was almost 2 years ago. The 06 models had just come out. Now I noticed that the new Cadillacs have an auxilliary audio input on the front panel. They call it an MP3 input. That's a start but not exactly iPod support. And still no sign of help on the Corvette.

I installed a Clarion HU in a friend's boat yesterday. A $30 adaptor for the iPod got us full iPod support including playlist, album, artist and song info displayed on the unit AND the wired remotes. Some times GM misses the ball by a mile. I think anybody on this thread would be more qualified for the job there at GM. They should be embarrassed. If I ever see that guy again, I'll be sure to rip him a new one.

The '08 non-NAV radios do actually have the 1/8" AUX port on the front. The NAV radios still do not.
