I am starting to try to figure out how I am going to do my install in my C6 Coupe. I am going to use the JL ZR650-CSI in the doors and you can point or tilt the tweeter. I read somewhere to point them torwards your Dome light since C6 don't have one I wounder if I pointed them torwards the roofs back latch. I figured someone on here has already played with this

To be able to choose a position and run with it, you'd have to have information on the off-axis response with your particular crossover in place. Since you're unlikely to have access to that data, incremental changes are the key. Small changes in position, height or angle can make all the difference between a wide presentation or point-source sound. After playing with a C6 for a bit, I can say with no hesitation that the factory mid/tweeter position is not very good, no matter the angle.

Hard to make sweeping generalizations, but my experience so far agrees with ya. It's just too darned close to your ears. Even with my crossovers set to -6db and the treble turned down the tweets become fatiguing.
It's certainly the most convenient mounting location and perhaps with a different tweet, crossover or even material folks may get different results. But absolutely I agree with taking your time, making small changes and letting your ears tell you what sounds best.
It will be a while. I have to build my Sub box and amp mounts first.

Reguarding the tweeter aiming, from what I can tell you have dome style tweeters which means tweeter aiming isn't as important as tweeter placement. IMO a place you should look at are the bottom corners of the windshield. This is a good spot for raising the soundstage. If I remember correctly the C6 has much higher mounts for the tweeters than a C5 so as long as your tweeter has a good line of sight to your ears, you should be fine. You may want to consider mounting them on a small pedistool (3/4" MDF?) to make sure the sound clears the door panel clearly.
