05/06 Nav in 08 - steering wheel controls dont work

OK -

I added a 05 Nav that i bought from another forum member. Prior to turning the car on (which activated the theft deterrent system) i was able to power the unit on, and it works fine EXCEPT for the steering wheel controls.

Anyone have any info on this? I'm assuming it will never work since the 05/06s did not have steering wheel controls but figured i'd ask incase someone had a similar experience.

You are correct in your assumption...and if you have one, it won't show in the HUD either unless you do the mod to add the wiring...

for the info. So this Nav won't integrate w/ the HUD either. So basically no HUD & no steering wheel....

do you have a link the the HUD mod you're talking about?
