Default 7inch touch screen in C4

Just finished installing a 7inch touch screen in my 85 vette. I thought it was going to be harder than it was as the deck is a 2 dinn and the dash is 1.5 dinns. Just had to trim the dash a bit, make some customer brackets and make a filler piece. Fits like a glove :-) Can't waitt o get the rest of the interior done now (flipping it from Carmine to Black).

Nice, I'd love to do the same but do you have any pics where the shift **** doesn't obscure the section of dash you had to trim?

Does this pic help any? I'm not quite 100% done as I had to order some carbon-fiber to make a piece that goes around the radio and I have to touch up the dash kit that is brown (trimmed for previous radio install). The discoloration you see on the surrounding piece is glue that I spilled. Didn't really care as I'm replacing that piece with the carbon fiber piece once I get the sheet I order.

To answer what I have in the car. Well I ripped out the bose when one of the amps started to hiss and installed:
- 4" (2 way) speakers in the dash
- 6.5" (3 ways) in the door panels - modified stock location
- tweeters in the A pillars
- 6x9 (3 ways) in the hatch - stock location
- 2 10" subs - one in each storage compartment
- 4 channel amp mounted to the back of the storage compartment

All of this is Infinity equipment.

Great looking job. Be sure to repost when you get the new CF piece in.

Oh, and be careful not to hit the CD/DVD eject button while in park (you probably already new that though ).

Wow that looks great! I actually have plans to do this as well, I just havn't gotten around to it yet. I got a spare dash to cut up and all my parts ready to go in.
Running a 7" widescreen w/xbox media center, head unit controls all the audio, screen has multiple video inputs.

THat looks REALLY great, its almost inspired me to start that project this weekend...

BTW is yours a complete head unit in dash or just the screen? I will be trying to add a screen only... was considering moving the DIC or AC controls somewhere else to make room for it all.
