Default bose stereo replacement???

Is there a way to replace a factory Bose cassette player with aftermarket cd player and still maintain the Bose sound? Or do you have to go with a Factory cd as a replacement?

I replaced mine with a Pioneer unit and 4 new speakers for a lot less than a set of rebuilt speaker/amps and a remanufactured Bose unit cost and it sounds a boatload better than the Bose ever did!

I had my c4 set up that way for a while it does not work that well. Bite the bullet and replace everything you will be much happier. If you have any questions regarding an install please don't hesitate to contact me.

did you opt for the pioneer supertuner? i was happy with the one i put in one of my other cars. cost vs. power + audio quality, i was pretty impressed for a highly mass produced unit.

Lots of good info on radio/stereo swaps in the Audio section under the C4 slicky.

Yes, and like I said...it sounds great. I needed a good stereo to drown out the droning of these god damn Flowmasters!

Except Eclipse head units. Actually I don't care for the newest Eclipse. For speakers I prefer Diamond.

Like someone said, replace all of it. The Bose stuff isn't that good.

I installed a high-dollar Alpine unit with the stock Blose speakers and it sounds like crap.

I guess im one of the few who likes how my bose sounds. I didnt like it in my other vettes i guess because the amps were getting tired but it all actually works right in my yellow car and sounds very nice and clean. For what it is im pretty impressed with it. Id like a little more highs but given the circumstances i enjoy listening to it. For some reason my red car's bose didnt sound as good. Im guessing the amps were a little weaker or something even though it all worked like it should. I say this to you guys and i'll go hop in it in the morning and it will have an amp go out or quit playing cd's hehe
