Is it a store bought CD or did you rip it? Is it clean and free of scratches?

If it is an original CD, clean, and scratch free, your problem is in the head and it will will repair.

I am betting on a broken CD player. try a different disc, but I am almost sure the head is dead.

Thanks for your answers!!!
I have tested with different original CDs, scratch free, but it always shows the message 'err' and ejects the CD. I bought a CD for cleaning CD player, but it doesnīt make anything and is ejected with the same error.

In the manual says that apart from the scratch free CD, the problem could be the humidity. But I have been driving with the air-conditioning system and it doesnīt work...

I suposse I will have to repair de head unit. Do you know if it is easy or if I will have to go to the garage?

where do you live? your handle says "Spanish-Vette," but that could mean language.

Are you in Spain?

you can try www.doctordons.com

why does someone who specializes in Corvette radio repair, have a Ferrari on his marquee?

Thanks for your help bogus. I have been taking a look at that link, it seems interesting, but itīs very far from my home... I will ask them to see if they can ship to Spain... If not, I will try to repair it by myself on holidays... I will tell you...

Yes, I am spanish, I live in Valladolid, in the north of Spain. Here corvettes are quite rare, buy I like them very much, now I have a C4 and a C5

well... you ain't gonna fix it. the CD transport is broken, and the parts are not generally available.
