The answer to everyone's question is "Yes, you can still access your storage compartments while the sub box is installed" as shown below:
I've had several inquiries from people interested in purchasing the box but have had expressed concerns over losing their storage space, but as you can see from the pictures, you won't.
While I definitely wouldn't tell you it's an easy 5 second job, it definitely won't take you 20 minutes either, or require that you remove any part of the box.
What is required is flipping up the amp rack, sliding the box forward about an inch and then the box flips up as shown. Once you're done, the box gets lowered, the amp rack gets flipped forward and you're good to go.
