Default BOSE experts, please step inside!

I know some of you hate BOSE, others like it and many are indifferent. If you are one of the haters, please don't post here telling me I am wasting my time, that BOSE BLOWS, blah blah blah. i have heard it all before and just don't care.

I know this is not for audiophiles, and I dont pretend to be one.

What I wonder is if the BOSE 6 disc head unit in a 2004 Tahoe is compatible with the BOSE system in a 2002 C5 with BOSE.

I know it is a 2 din head and would require a custom bezel. What I would like to know is if it is electrically compatible with the speakers in the C5.
Also does anyone have the pin out schematics for the C5 BOSE and the Tahoe BOSE?

IF the Tahoe headunit is compatible with the C5, then it would give a low cost 6 disc indash headunit with an aux input and satellite radio.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Don't believe its going to work for you, sorry. I have an '03 Yukon and both the Yukon and Tahoe went to a serial data bus in '03. You can't even exchange an '02 Yukon radio for an '03.

no. the C4 bose system has no input controls for a CD changer.

If you want a changer, get one with an RF interface, so it will play through the FM tuner.

For the rest, you know my feelings on bose.

oh, gee... I made a boo-boo... I saw your handle as OnyxC4, not OzzyC4... and didn't realize you were talking Tahoe to C5... sorry.

I don't know how compatible the head units are.

you almost need the helm manuals for both and compare the schematics.

That is what I was hoping someone had done! I have neither manual so i can't compare the schematics.

You can find most of the C5 radio schematics in the "My Corvette Photos" link under my avatar, they're out of a 2001 manual. Try a truck forum for the Tahoe prints.
