My question is, if I choose to use the kenwood HU, do I need some sort of module to keep the door chimes and power on before you open the door after shutdown? Crutchfield's website lists such a module(Metra VT-GMOS-04 ) but from the reviews of it, seems like a P.O.S. Anyone have a reccomendation?
Thanks in advance

Hey Evan,
Yes you need a module to maintain this functionality. The Peripheral Electronics modules seem to be the best regarded. Here's a link to their application guide:

When you're looking at it just use the 2005 Corvette listing. Through 2007 nothing has changed for the C6 and the C6Z as far as the data bus and stereo hookups go so even though 2007 isn't listed it will work.
