Default Do i still need to deaden the rear for my particular setup?

Okay it is time to deaden my car, but I have a question. My car is a Z06 and I am in the process of building a subbox/partition that will divide the cabin from the trunk. The subs will face the cabin. I was thinking if maybe covering the back of the box in some ensolite, this would basically create a sound barrier from the cargo area to the cabin. Would there be any reason to still deaden the trunk/cargo area? Just curious as this would save me some money as well as weight.

Put about 2" of open cell foam on the back, and it should make a huge difference in sound.

IMO it is worth doing some deadening back there to help with the inevitable rattles that will materialize as well as the tire/exhaust noise from the rear that all z06's have a fair amount of. Without a sub/enclosure back there I don't think you would have to do a lot, but a layer over the wheel wells and maybe the back wall and/or center compartment would be worthwhile. All depends on how much $$ and weight you want to add, but for another 6-7lbs I think it would be worth it overall.
