Default Eclipse AVN6610 installed in C6

Yesterday I got the Eclipse AVN6610 In-dash DVD receiver/navigation system installed in the C6

I got an awesome deal on it. Crutchfield.com has the unit for $1700. I also bought high end cables ($150) and the ipod interface ($100). Not even including the labor charge to have it installed, that's already $1950.

I paid, out the door, $1725

PICS HERE

Nice! This is the exact unit I just ordered with iPod Connection, TV Tuner, Blue Tooth (available end of month), Sirius Tuner for Nav Traffic (available end of month).

Also check out www.eclipse-web.com for a $200 Rebate w/ install!

How do you like the iPod Interface?

the ipod interface is flawless. I have pretty much the same controls if I were controlling it from the ipod itself.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but be aware that the so called Bluetooth for the AVN6610 does not fully integrate to the HU. There is no calling number display on the HU, it just mutes the audio and sends the caller thru your speakers. It's made by Parrot Bluetooth, their part number is CK3000. If fact Eclipse has said that doing this MAY induce noise, in which case you would have to add an external speaker just for Bluetooth conversation.

I'm not bashing Eclipse HU, I currently have the AVN5495, I'm just passing on info that may be helpful to potential buyers who want the BT integration. If you are, call Ecplise directly and talk to them.

I didn't get the blue tooth add on for mine.

Also, it seems the clock on the anv6610 doesn't know about the new day light savings change.

Congratulations on your new toy. I just had one installed in my '07 vert. I noticed somethng odd and was wondering if you have the same issue. When watching a DVD or using the back-up camera, the picture has a distinct venetian blind look to it. I was wondering if I should take it back to the dealer.

You're absolutely correct. The Parrot add-on is rediculous. It doesn't work with the HU and the Parrot itself is a nightmare to set up. It doesn't work unless the radio is on and then the radio sound obscures the so-called "Magic words". I'm having removed.
