Default System Diagram and Install Pics

First off thanks to Audio Dave for his help with some questions I had concerning the VSS wire hookup in my 05 C6.

I'm upgrading my Alpine 9835 to an Eclipse AVN5510, and will be replacing XM with Sirius. The only other new component will be the BEC106 rear view camera. Below is a poor mans system diagram. Check back the week of March 12, I'll have a few install pics of the HU and camera. Enjoy!

HU: Eclipse 5510

Satellite Radio: Sirius

Amplification: PPI 1000.4

Center Channel (run from fade controlled rear HU power):

Boston Acoustics 3.5

Front Stage: DLS Iridium 8.2

Sub: Image Dynamics 10v.3 (single in JL stealthbox)

Camera: Eclipse BEC106

The makings of a very nice setup.. but unless you're planning on listening to a lot of multichannel music or watching movies I'd suggest trying the system WITHOUT that center channel. That Boston doesn't stand up to the rest of your stuff and I found that even the stock system had a better stereo image with the center disconnected.

I hear ya. I have that center hooked up to the rear channel of my 9835 right now. So faded full rear would be only center channel, and faded full front would be only components. Normally, I dial it in just enough to bridge the sound stage. Now with the AVN, I'll have the option to bring it up during movie time, and back down again for pure audio.

Where are you planning to put the camera? I mounted mine between the exhaust and I'm not sure I like it there, but there aren't a lot of options.

this is kinda on topic but straying from the orig post but i've always wanted to play with those panel transducers for center chan. use. it uses a plane of glass as the actually speaker. might be fun to experiment with those

Actually I don't know yet . Was thinking above the license plate next to the next to the hatch release button. It is unfortunate that Eclipse has a proprietary camera connection. I would have preferred a bullet style cam and stealthed it into the license plate or 3rd brake light.

I liked that spot too, but there isn't a lot of space left after the lights, keyhole, trunk release button...etc..
