Default Center compartment subs in a C-5 - what about cargo?

Have a question for the guys that run subs in the center compartment of your C-5 coupe. What do you do when you need to put stuff in the back of the car? All the center compartment subs I've seen have holes cut into the compartment cover and the sub is exposed. I sometimes travel in the car and would need to have stuff back there that would cover up the sub. What are my options?

Get a stealth box, the stock cover will still fit for cargo and you'll never know it's there.

What you see is not holes in the center cover, but the box.

Having the sub covered doesn't hurt the sound??? I've seen this design and wondered if you were supposed to remove the cover for best sound and cover it when you needed to carry something.

hauling cargo is what the "parts truck" is for

I bought a matching JL grille for my 12w6v2 and it certainly hasn't hurt SQ...or db levels.

I recently got a box from NVTHIS for the center compartment. I was torn between a stealth box and a flush mount box. I ordered a stealth from him, but decided before getting it that I would just keep the cover off (heard about issues with the sub hitting the cover, plus just the obvious point of a sub needing to move air to make sound). I got the box and put it in, and for whatever reason (I think my carpet/padding is the problem), the cover will not go on over the box. The good point is it sits totally flush with the level of the floor...I couldn't be happier with it! I have a JL grill on the way to protect the sub when my clubs are in back, but other than that I don't carry anything in my Vette to worry about cargo space.

I bought a spare compartment cover and put several small holes in it.

I also have a nice box by NVTHIS. The cover fits on with no problem when I have bags or somethng to carry. The subs do not hit the cover. Also, you can get a pair of grills that will protect the subs.
