Default Those who build your own boxes, dimensions? MDF

Spending 140 bucks on a premade box to me is silly, afterall the materials is what 25 bucks? I had one member send me his instructions for what he did it with, but was curious to see other setups.

I'll be using JL 10w3's, version 1's.

Im debating wheither or not i want to use 2 or just 1. I think 2 may be a bit overkill considering the cabin is so small on the vette, and not seperated. But i do love bass

Any tips/help is appreciated, i dont do fiberglass so thats out of the question. MDF it is

there are plans in the c5audio faq.

with my old sub i had a single 12idv3 with ~300wrms going to it and i could feel the air rush by my head on deep bass hits. my new system will have a single 12 tc-9 with ~500wrms and should sound cleaner and deeper :-)

more important then the sub is your midbass. i htink a single sub is fine and then throw some money/power towards your midbass/bass speakers in the door.

I must have missed them, even though ive read it about 3-4 times lol. Let me check once more

My currect setup in my integra is a

pioneer headunit 4600 i think from 2003
alpine type r componets with a small alpine amp powering them
an old old xplod amp rated at 380rms
2 JL 10w3's in a powerwedge sealed box.....

When cranked up you can feel your hair move as you said, i think the vette will feel even louder with the lack of a back seat. Not to mention i dont want to rattle the vette apart like the teg has over the years.

EDIT:

found the document you spoke of, its the same the member sent me....thanks
