Default New System

Finally warmed up enough to get the car somewhat cleaned up enough to get a couple of pics of my new system. You might remember that I was looking for a low-profile system with the best SQ I could afford. I ended up with:

Eclipse CD5000 HU
Ipod Interface
GPS Interface
HD Radio Interface
10 disc Eclipse CD changer
JL Audio 300/2 amp
JL Audio 250/1 amp
JL Audio 10W3 Stealthbox and Sub
JL Audio Z series 6-1/2 components in front (no rear)
JL Audio Wires
Custom Amp Rack (cover not shown in pic below).
I am very pleased with the sound in this system. Gonna have to cool it for a while but I am finished with the interior (Caravaggio and VE upgrades, wanted subtle but tasteful quality)...

Got to convince the wife that I need 100+ more hp next!

Can you hear the sub pretty well with the partition? I had a partition and it cut quite a bit of thump down. Looks really good!

Actually- it does cut the volume down quite a bit but there is still plenty for me (my ears have been ringing a lot lately as I haven't really noticed how loud the volume is- I'm still amazed at how good this sounds compared to all my other past vehicles). I suppose I could take it out if it becomes an issue. I had a Pontiac GTP quite a few years ago and had a 10w6 mounted in the trunk. I remember it being significantly harder hitting

I'm happy with it (IPOD Interface). Love the sound quality of the HU. Only complaint I have is that the face is difficult to see in direct sunlight. Probably will render the GPS feature useless...

im glad you like it. I hated my ipod interface. very difficult to navigate, it was slow scrolling through songs and it would freeze a lot until i disconnected the ipod and then i can get into the ipod navigation screen again. Tinted windows help alot with the HU sceen.

I don't know- they told me they (Hi-Fi Buys) could order them in black and I originally thought they would show so went with black. My Installer actually made a mesh cover that goes over the top of the amp rack and has the same shape as the oval in my partition. Looks very integrated and professional. They only charged me a $100 for the custom box which I thought was awesome.

Thanks for the compliments on the seats- finally got cold enough last week to use the heated feature and feel like I needed it. Caravaggio made these after I first bought his GT3 racing seats and felt like they were a bit tight for normal use.

My car dynoed two yrs. ago at 400 rwhp. So 200 more I would need like what 700 at the crank? I'm sure the wife will feel that I need that since I'm in a hurry all the time
