Default JL C6 Sub boxes in a C5 Vert?

Has anyone taken a look at the sub boxes offered by JL Audio for the C6 Vert and tried modding them to fit in a C5 vert? Seems like a good idea to mount the subs right behind the seats: pumps the sound directly to the body and doesn't take up any cargo space.
Heres a link:

Or, does anyone know of sub boxes that will fit a C5 vert on both sides of the waterfall?

thats a good thought. you can email them and see if you can get some dimensions from them. or just flat out ask to see if they will fit c5 verts

I think it's unlikely. It's a really tight fit, very exact. If the C5 vert area is larger it may fit, but it would be a little loose. If the C5 vert area is smaller, even by a mm, it won't fit. I'm guessing it won't work.

The hard part is it's nearly impossible to see them without ordering them. If anyone wants to swing by here with a C5 vert, we can check it out.

I just got the dimensions from JL audio:21L X 9.25W X 10D
The space behind the seat in my vert is only 8" high which I assume correspondswith the 9.25 measurement, so I agree it probably won't work. Still like to see one in person...

yea, but if you look at the pic. the sub tucks under the cover too about an inch or so. i think it will be really close.
