Default MP3 & Sat. Radio direct connect install

Was using FM freq. to listen to XM and my MP3 player, got the GM10-AUX & RCA to mini plug cable and here's what I did

connected the power for the XM radio to the aux power wire (radar detector is powered here also) they both turn on and off with the key.

GM10-Aux in trunk with RCA cable running under carpet to front

XM radio at top of pic, MP3 player in leather case sitting in cup holder

MP3 player mounted on "cup holder mount". I'll go with this for now to see if I like it.

Cell phone "hands free" device, glasses holder, radar detector.
The cell phone device and glasses holder will probably change if I can find a better alternative.

The sound is waaaay better than using FM. Gonna add a PIE line driver to boost the volume coming off the GM10, right now I have to have the radio volume up pretty high for the Sat. Radio, not so much so with the MP3 player.

Man, that's a lot of stuff in the car. But, looks like it is very functional for you.

Looks like you've got a good set up. I hope to install XM sometime next spring so I'm always looking for ideas.

Can you still use the CD changer with the GM10?

No, the cable is unplugged from the CD Changer and plugged into the GM10. If you also get a MP3 player you definitely won't need the CD.

Still a "work in progress", I may opt for a smaller MP3 mount in the cup holder, I'll try it and post pics in a couple days.

Added a P.I.E. LD-1 to boost the sound level.
