Default Back up camera for C6 with NAV

I am wondering if there is a way to add a back up camera to the C6 factory navigation system...is it the same head unit as the new Tahoe etc? If so I would imagine it would be fairly easy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately not the same head as the new Tahoe and while I won't say it can't be done, there's certainly no simple way. I know some folks have sent their unit out to have a composite video input install and then connected outboard DVD players, but since the res on the screen isn't that great that has never seemed worth it to me. Could probably hook up a camera that way, but you're not likely to get the "put it in reverse and camera comes on automatically" functionality.

Aftermarket head would likely be the easiest way to get it done.
