What size amp for this setup??

I have a 87 coupe that i am making a box in. It is going to be in the rear hatch area but behind the storage bins. I am glassing in 4 Fosgate P1 10's. I have 2 chambers in this box and i am going to wire up 2 subs per chamber at 1 ohm each. I think that the P1's need 300 watts each. I was looking at the JL 500/1. Anything has to be better than the Sony Xplod 1200watt waste of space i have now. Any suggestions

x100000 on the elemental designs nine1 its extremly underated and an awesome performer i have it pushing 2 15s and its disgusting. Otherwise I have a Polk C500.1 for sale for alot less then that JL goes for and its a very similar amp it does 500wrms @2ohms, let me kno if u are intested in it
