Default Whats behind the driver/passenger seats?

Im looking to mount my Xovers behind the passenger seat, on the rear wall that is at a 45* angle.
Isint the gas tank behind there?
if so, how much depth do I have to screw something down before I cause damage?
1/16, 1/8, 1/4 1/2 or 1 inch? Im nervous when It comes close things like gas tank and fule lines.

Gas tanks on a C5. You have about 1/2 inch max - be careful.

A lot of people (me included) will epoxy or Liquid Nails a 3/4" board under the carpet to the wall behind the seats. Then screw amps, crossovers, etc. to the board. This does two things: gives you a better anchoring surface for whatever components you have, and keeps you from having to drill into your car.

I'll probably just use Liquid Nails, 'cause I've got a tube of it.
