Default Thinking about adding a system to my C5!:)

I know this has been asked a million times, but I was wondering if somebody could help me out who has done this setup in there C5. I have a 2000 C5 with the stock Bose sound system with a single in dash cd player. I would like to add a stealth box with 10" speaker and a small amp. What all will I need to do to get the right sound without messing up the bose system? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

adding a sub and amp is the easy part. Deciding on what amp and sub you want is the hard part. All you'll need is an adapter from the bose to give you rca outputs. then hook that up to your amp and then hook up your subs. Depending on what box you go for the sub, will depend on what sub you will need. Also adding an ipod to my stock bose helped the stock system out a ton as well. The ipod acts as an amplifier itself and gives the bose a boosted cleaner signal, at least it seems that way.

you'll need a 4 gauge amp witing kit from somewhere like www.knukonceptz.com.

Just do some searches, and you'll see a ton of stuff. at first i was just going to do a simple sub and amp install, but then i got into sound deadning as well and that turned into a project into itself. Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions. i have to find the link for the adapter....

There is a ton of info in the FAQ's and by doing a search. I did exactly what you want to do (except I'm using an 8") and it was pretty easy. The plug-and-play adapter from PAC is great, and allows you to unplug it easily if you want to remove what you installed without hacking the wires. Also, you may want to add some 3.5" in place of the twiddlers in the door. That is next on my list of things to do. Good luck!

Sorry, the one site that had the PAC adapter significantly cheaper than everyone, doesnt have them in stock and doesnt seem like they will anytime soon. You can shoot www.thediscountmall.com a email and see if they can order you one for the price that they used to have them for. I bought mine for like $34.00 with shipping it was like $40.00. But the adapter you are looking for is a PAC interface aoem-vet1 im 99% sure on the exact name. This adapter gives you the plug n play with only need to splice into one wire for the amp remote wire. Good luck
