Default Sub Direction

I'm getting ready to fabricate a new sub box for my 2004 C5 Coupe and was wanting to know if it would be better to fire the sub forward or backwards. I know if the subs are in a trunk it is sometimes better to fire the subs backwards to get better bass. Since mine is a coupe I'm not sure which way to fire it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

as far as i know bass is omnidirectional, doesnt matter which way they fire. I've had enclosures and faced them front or rear and never noticed a difference.

True, low frequencies are non-directional but it does matter which way they fire. It has to due with loading the woofer and the distance from the woofer to your ears.
I have always either fired the woofers up to the rear glass or face them toward the rear of the vehicle. I've done many installs all the way up to 18" subwoofers. I currently run three 12" in my C5

with knew. I am not sure how large a difference between forward and rearward there would be being that the vette is so small but definitely worth spending some time finding out which is better.

I have a '65 vert with no soft top. With the hard top on, it sounds better with the sub facing forward. With the top off, it is better backwards.

I defer to someone with Vette experience.

I've got stock setup in the c5 and my past systems all included sealed/bandpass enclosures in the trunk, so aiming was never an issue for me.
