Is C6 Radio Vehicle Specific?

I had my stock radio with the 6 cd player and XM radio replaced recently with an Eclipse AVN5435. I would like to sell the stock HU but do not know if it is vehicle specific. If so, what would be involved for the new owner to be able to use this unit in his car?
