Need to buy the best Radar/Laser Detector available to go along with my new ZO6 - any recommendations?

Thanks,
Spike

I've used all three of the ones you've mentioned, and nothing even comes close to touching the V1. Seriously, the haters of the V1 don't understand. It's by far the best. Directional pointers are incredible, and they work....and you NEED THEM more than you realize. Once you have a V1, you realize why everything else is ranked second.

I use a V1.
It's save my skin more so many times I've lost count. My only complaints are:
1. Lots of false alarms, especially on X-band. So much so that I've disabled X-band alerts except when I'm driving out of town.
2. Lots of laser false alarms. I have never gotten a valid laser alert in four years of use. It does go off in traffic especially when looking into LED style tail lights of other cars.
I think part of the flase alarm problem is that Valentine's philosophy is to warn you about everything and let you be the judge of the threat level. After a while though, you have to be carefull not to get in the habit of ignoring it or you're toast.
The bogey counter and direction arrows are worth their weight in gold, especially if you drive the same route often.

Another vote for the V1.
Has anyone used this C6 mirror power cord on a Z06 yet?

V1. Arrows, upgrades, complete system (esp. the remote display) - it's the complete package.

Read the reviews from the magazines and www.radartest.com and www.speedzones.com
The V1 is, unfortunately, old tech, even with the arrows. The new line of Bel detectors, and the Passport are the new benchmarks.
Enjoy the new Z!
Edit- Some have rated the V1 better for Laser detection, but for most drivers, that's a non-issue. I'll take the superior POP protection offered by the Bel or Passport(my personal detector). The main thing is to buy a detector based on where you will do the majority of your driving. Here in Nevada, the NHP is the largest buyer of "POP" type Ka guns, so a detector that was sensitive in those frequencies was important to me.

well the beltronics and the passport are both made by passport. I ride motorcyles a lot faster than I drive the ZO6. I also own a V1. The passport has better long range and fewer false signals........................I've also owned the Beltronics RX65, but liked the shape of the passport X50 better because it fit on my motorcycles much easier.

I don't want to throw a wrench into your thinking.
But the articles states;
The RX65(Bel) better than the Escort, BUT equal to the Val1 in the Ka Pop readings.

I love my V1 many saves... even my roommate who has an x50 in his lightning wants my V1. Yeah it picks up a lot x-band signals but i have it so they come up muted. The false lasers are due to the 3rd brake lights on Trailblazers and Envoys, those are the only times that I have seen laser besides the one the the state of Maryland has, V1 saved me there too.
