That makes me feel real good about the 8" Polks I'm installing -someday. Too much fiberglass work.

Well, the polks' XMAX (cone movement) is about half of what the ARC 8s are... But I imagine they'll be fine anyway.

Hmmm? Learn something new everyday.
So what does that mean? Deeper bass, tighter? Crisp?
I was just glad to hear someone was pleased with an 8" sub.
Where are you? I'm in Ft Worth, TX.

sacramento, CA.
I've had 8s before I didnt like (CDTs very quiet)
Basically, the more XMAX, the louder they get. The more air they can displace.
Ex, your Polk subs move 8mm, the ARCs move 15mm.
That doesn't mean they'll be "about twice as loud" though. There's a lot more to it than that.
But if you face the subs toward the rear, you should be pretty pleased with them.

I'm facing mine towards the back of the seats . . .
This in the convertible top storage area. Please tell me it'll be okay.

Excellent. I think just for kicks I might run a 4 gauge line straight to my 1000watt amp and just try my MAX in this little wagon... I'm afraid to do it though.

Those would fit in a C4 if you build out the mount and toss the Stock grille..
4" is about the max for depth

check out pioneer 12" TSW124D's they have a mounting depth of 3 1/4" but require .8 cu ft of air. And also are 300 w RMS so should be loud enough for anyone's taste.

I had 2 ID Max 12's in my truck with 3,000 rms watts going to them in a sealed box, they sounds really good. I wish they weren't so big or I would put one of my 12 in the center compartment in the back.

I actually bought one...it is still sitting in my closet. I haven't had time to install it

I traded the taco, then the Vette got sold the day after I bought the 92x.
(Insurance for vette+taco was only about a dollar difference from just the 92. Ouch)
