Default Amp install kit

Im looking for the best amp kit. What is the difference between the $30 vs the $100s out there. I was going to get the JL audio one but it was pushing 90 bux vs the $45 one at my local car store. Is a wire a wire as long as its the correct gage? I already have a set of JL audio cables.

TIA
ALbert

You want twisted pair speaker wire since it has the best noise rejection. The amp kit will have different kinds of wire in them the thicker the better but as they get thicker they get harder to snake through the car. The best are very thick with many small strands and a very flexable protective covering. The quality of the fuse holders and connectors will vary as well. The best are very easy to use and install and they will look professional as well. Your desision on how much you want to spend should be dependant on your individual installation problems and desires. But wire is not just wire,

Only complaint that I have and it's not really directed at knuknoceptz so much as anyone that makes this stuff is that the 12 gauge 4 conductor wire I bought for my door speakers is hell to strip. I have the good T-Strippers and those usually do the trick but I have to use a razor blade to get the outside cover off these and risk gashing my finger. It looks great though, the stuff is about the same size as a 4GA power wire and its twisted.

I hate to admit it but I think I will have about $150 in wire & hookups for this system and I am getting everything online.

I bought that same stuff for the vette though I did not use it. The Infinity crossovers did not like that big of wire and still look nice.
The jacket for that 4 12-guage wire is seriously tuff stuff I 'm using it for my home theater subs, I do not worry at all about people stepping on it. They'll break before that speaker wire does

After I looked how they come out after being stripped I ordered some of these to hopefully help with the look of them running to the x-overs.
