Anyone replaced 1SA head unit?

Im thinkin of replacing the stock head-unit in my 1SA for an eclipse or pioneer double-din touch screen unit. My plan was to replace the head-unit and add an amp. to power a bass tube. I would be keeping the stock speakers but i would be running them with no bass, and i'd just use the tube to provide all the bass. My main concern is with adapting the new head-unit. My installer says he doesnt see any problem, but he has never done a C6 corvette. Just wondering if anyone knows about any problems he's going to encounter with the wiring, before i commit to this. Since the manual says everything is tied to the computer, im afraid he might be opening a can of worms. Help!

I went in to do the same thing but my installer said to wait for the interface for the c6 so that door chimes and other things work correctly the interface that's out now is only up thru the C5. He said it should be out by end of July or mid Aug this year. There are work arounds but I'll wait for the right stuff.

see thats what i needed to know. I dont really know much about audio equipment or what it takes to make it work, so i didnt know about any interface. If you find out when it becomes available I'd really appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks for the info either way!

The warning chime adapter is already available. I know it will work with the 1SA. http://www.pac-audio.com/products/oem1.htm

#C2R-GM24. There is no double din HU mounting kit available yet.
