I tried tapping into the rear speakers with no luck. I then tried the fronts.

It's a Bazooka tube.

Where can I get a clean source?

You will need to provide the info on the unit you are looking to tap into, Base unit/Bose or Nav HU to get the correct info.

Let me know how it works out; I'd be interested in doing the same, if I could figure out where to put it!

I have a Bazooka Tube that is self powered. I need to get a correct signal. I think I need high level inputs.
