Cannot Read MP3 Audio disks

After several Google and forum searches, burning 6 coasters and trying two different software packages I thought I'd save a new buyer like me some time: Yes audio systems with the Navigation system added cannot play MP3 encoded CDs.

Only conventional CDs.

Someone else had this fact in another thread but it didn't show up on any searches.
