Default Help! Antenna lead won't disconnect.

Does anyone know how an '87 era antenna coax lead is supposed to disconnect near the antenna motor? I want to try and replace the cable in my motor, but the last time I tried I could NOT get the antenna to disconnect. There is an area in the hatch under the trim and carpet where it looks like it is supposed to, but nothing worked. I tried twisting, pulling, push & twist, etc. I ended up messing the line up a little and my FM reception has kinda sucked since then. I'd rather not screw it up anymore than I have already.

Thanks!

Well.... it broke anyways. It was for better off though because I went and got a R59 stripper/crimper and put some F connectors on the wires instead. The reception is better than ever now. And the antenna works again, lol.
