Whats a good place to mount the amp in a c4 coupe? My guy is looking to drop one in the rear storage compartment, but I have a concern about the heat....

On my C4 I mounted mine flush on the back of the coupes trunk (vertical, not horizontal)....sorry I don't have pics to show this. I am looking at doing the same thing to my C5, hopefully the JL 500/5 will fit back there.

I put mine under the passanger seat (not a powered seat). They are fine there, they dont' generate much heat so no problems whatsoever. Very easy grounding too since the seat bolts are grounded.

I just finished installing a budget system in my 91. I mounted my Elemental Design Nine.4 on the vertical surface in the rear of the hatch. I glued a piece of 3/4 inch plywood with liquid nails and screwed the amp to it.

Worked nice.
