New Gadget [MP3 Related]

Dear Forum-

I hope this won't sound too much like a plug for DLO, but I love this thing.

It's made by DLO (Digtial Lifestyle Outfitters) and it's called the TransPod FM All-in-One. I love my iPod, but the thing sucks it's battery like no tomorrow and I also don't have an auxillary input on the stock Bose system.

I wasn't expecting much from the FM Transmitter since it's an all-in-one type setup. I didn't think it could compare to my Crane Co. stand alone unit, but it does very well.

So in summary, it charges, it transmits, and it cradles all iPods..even the new mini (with included adapter).

It also comes with the cigarette lighter snake mount (as shown) or a dash mount snake and some additional items (pad, adapter extension, etc.).

I bought the black version. It also comes in white and silver now.

Sounds cool, but a bit pricey, cosnidering I am doing the same thing on my MP3 player for $19.95 from Radio Shack..

Although I admit that won't charge my unit. I use the normal charger for that..

Yeah, that was referring to me. If it lights up and looks neato...it's on like Donkey Kong!

You're right though. I have a cheapo setup in my work car:

$30 - Sony MiniDisc Player
$30 - FM Transmitter

That way some drunk won't destroy anything expensive.
