Default need a part number for c-d player

I have a 2000 frc. It came with a casette player, and no c-d changer. The speakers do not have a bose decal, or insignia anywhere. I don't think that it is a bose system. What I want to do is change the cassette player out in favor of a factory cd player. But I can not find one that is not a bose. What I need is a part number for the c-d player that would have come in my car with the base system. I have tried a c-d player out of my monte carlo. The plugs were the same but it did not work. Must be differences in the wiring. My other option is to add a changer but I am unsure if the changer from a car with the bose system will work with my base level cassette player? I just want to keep the factory look. I don't want to use a adapter kit and aftermarket stereo. I love the car but miss the ability to play C-D's, as I travel through areas that have poor reception, Adirondack mountains.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
