Default Is there a cd unit that will plug in to an 86 without mods?

Have an 86 vette with the regular bose system. I think im going to sell the vette before it hits 80,000 but i was wondering does anybody know if there is a cd unit that will plug in place of the stock head unit, and be used with the stock amplified bose speakers..without mods? Thanks in advance..I dont want to purchase a whole new system.. was hoping to get by with just a cd player..id use a plug in cassete cd player...but my cassette player crapped the bed!

They make wiring harness adapters that you wire up to the head unit (aftermarket of course), and then they plug right into the factory harness in the car. I wouldn't think that there would be any problems with the factory Bose speakers/amps working with another head as long as your still using the factory harness. But if you go this route then you also need a dash mounting kit as well.

Dr. Dons sells Delco Bose refurbished. Excellent job with a new face. Old technology with limited anti skip but if you're looking for stock he's the guy. Mid America buys from him so you can get it cheaper direct. Rebuilds amps too. Very reputable and stands behind his products.
