Default 8" subs in rear of C4

I've been working making some MDF brackets to mount my RE8 subs in the rear of my 1991 - similar to agent86's. The speaker depth/magnet diameter proved to be an issue since I wanted the stock speaker covers to be used. I used 3/4" MDF and routered out 1/2 the depth to recess the sub into.

Anyone else have any fit issues when putting 8's in the rear? I got the issue resolved but there's not much room to spare

Also, I just got my eD Nine.4 amp. She's pretty.

I installed the Image Dynamics ID8's back there. There was no way I could have recessed them into the wood, the magnet would have hit. I installed a couple of grills and cut the Bose covers to contour to them. I need to get a few pictures up....

I had to remove the rubber ring around the magnet and remove a small piece of the factory insulation mine had. I used 1/2'' plywood mount and a 5/8'' particleboard spacer(to recess it).
But they fit

I've read good things about RE subs, please do a quick review with some pics when you get it all tuned.
