for those who mounted it in the ashtray what did you put behind the unit to stabilize it?

Mine has some wood "blocking" cut to fit and glued in place behind it.

yeah I considered that...guess I could glue the wood in and velcro the unit to it..

I fabricated a "strap" to wrap around the plastic behind the ashtray area, it's very secure.
