Is this a normal situation? I had the Bose Gold in a C4 that was fine. Just purchased this 2000 and it is weak. Any way to test the system, amps, etc.? Also, is there a "non-bose" head unit that may cause this issue (saw this in another thread that never got an answer) or was the Bose option just the speakers and their amps? I don't expect to set off car alarms, just have some low end.
Thanks for the help. I would like to keep this stock. Right now my 02 GMC with what appears to be the same head unit blows this away.
haha, i like that one, my favorite is "BOSE - Buy Other Sound Equipment"
ya would of thought since they put 8's in the doors now, that they'd have some stunning new sound better than the old bose gold....GUESS AGAIN.. Its 2005, and bose still havent figured out what a subwoofer is.

I heard they are really close to discovering tweeters.
Many of us have added a sub or 2 to our C5's. I added a 10" sub and the sound is so much better. I kept the factory speakers and head unit. I wish I had done it earlier.
