Snoop, was that the old 50w EL series? How much sound did it put out? I've heard only the 100w models and was fairly impressed with those, but I haven't heard the 50w variety.

Yes, this is an old 3rd generation EL series for sure, but they originally took up to 150. Ive owned a 1st generation (true fiberglass tube) but this is the 3rd generation plasic enclosure with a beauty ring around the port...(the originals had no such thing, and barely a grille. They were originally that high in wattage because people were putting friggn orion HCCA amps on them (oh wait, no, that was only me

) They really do shine when you overdrive them a wee bit and subsonic filter. The 50's only were small amplified versions ONLY, and I dont believe they sold many of them.
I did get stupid bored, and mounted an Urban Audio 8" to my tube, in this pic,....talk about port noise from this!!! hahaha, the sub unloaded waaaay below the 50 or so FS that these EL tubes originally shine at.
Id love to try another 8" sub in it, but I cant justify buying an 8" sub just to screw around with, thats worth a crap at least. Ive seriously considered putting an RE8 in the place of the original speaker. Its a true transmission line box.
I tell ya, at the rate they sold those N20 bottle ones, we're gonna be seeing those on ebay for the next 15 years
OH, and if anyone is looking to sell a broken one (specifically a 10" version) im in the market for the tube - just the tube. No amplfied version.. I dont need no stink'n amp!
