Default Shave door handles??? I think I might!!!!!

Hey Guys... What do you think... I think I might shave my door handles.... My friends from school did his on his supra and its sooo cool. He said he could do mine (His father owns a body shop and the kid knows what hes doing, you should see the custom things HE ,not his father, did to this car, and yes he knows how to work with fiberglass and what not)

So what do you guys think? Has anyone done this? I think Im gonna get it done, Just wanted to see what you guys think

I used to love the shaved door handle look on most cars, but IMHO (which means squat to anyone except me :) ) it looks dated. I planned to shave the door handles on my LeMans, but have decided to go with some flush mount handles from a later model car. I might think differently if the handles on the C4 were really obtrusive to the lines of the car, but I don't think they are.

I just had mine smoothed and painted the same color as the body, looks better than stock and still hides them a bit.

I think it would look sweet, how would you have the doors open, by a push button underneath, or with some sort of remote opener. Post pics if you get it done.

Remote would activate a solinoid to pop open or acuator..... Then there would be a saftey hidden somewhere on the car that will remotely open the driver door also.... There is also something you can buy that when you bring a magnet to it, it will pop the locks...... I really want to do it, and it wont cost me much.. probably about 150 bucks

Go for it! My friend's Mustang has them with a Saleen package and it definitely looks

When you get it done, do you have to paint your entire door again?

I like your style! Clean and smooth we're looks that I've always favored not only on Vette's. Glass is difficult to work with regarding filling holes, show through etc. Unless your guy is really good. Mine was probably done half ***. I wanted my emblems holes filled. I forget who said it on here, but I was told you had to re-glass it or some other way mine was done(simply filled the holes, sanded and painted and the tell tale signs are there)

That will look cool if you do it. Just be sure you have a reliable way to open the doors and some sort of safety switch or lever in case the remote method fails.

This will require pics if you do decide to do it :D

What happens if your battery dies with these and the hood and windows are closed?

these actuators will work down to like 10 volts. so the battery had better be REAL dead.

It is a chance, but not likely. at that point, you have to slim jim... or brick.

Personnaly, I am going with the chrome door handles... the Polo Green needs less black to lighten up the details.

Careful with your wording, I wouldn't say it is ignorant.
