How much oil does a 454 hold...which oil filter?
How much oil does my 74 454 with stock oil pan hold? Also, which AC oil filter do I use?
Does it take AC R45TS plugs? What gap if I have an MSD 6?

5 qts - same as all other V8's
Not sure which Oil Filter #, but I always use the overpriced good ones ...

My owners manual (68) says 6 qts with a filter change for my 427. The AC Delco PF-25 is the standard filter. PF-35 is bigger. They may have changed the numbers recently. MJ

Mine always seems to go a little over 5qts, more like 5.25-5.5, I normally gap my plugs around 40 with my ignition system.
