Re: Show me your custom paint jobs on C3's! (GrandSportC3)
Ill post pics within 2 weeks two 2 years
were almost done, all thats left is glassing the ground effects and then paint. im doing Prowler Orange, which is a high pearl paint that took me about a year to find. there will be one front emblem and one rear emblem, with the front over a small flame.
Im debating on doing Stingray emblems on the sides... what do you guys think? i know technically it isnt a stingray because that option stopped in '76, but since the option was only the addition of the emblems...

Not mine, but a Victoria car. Also, the back end is painted the same dark metallic brown, entirely up to the sharp edges. Color is a custom version of warbonnet yellow, with some lime color added and lots of metal flake!
ps: here is the butt

Re: Show me your custom paint jobs on C3's! (ry)
its actually not that expensive anymore. well it still is, but not as bad as it used to be. the color i wanted to paint mine was about $600 a pint and it was only a orange that changed to yellow. the red to blue kamelion (sp) was only about $450 a pint. as i understand, you have to take a class to learn how to pain kamelion and color change paints. i know its at least a 3 stage paint job, which makes it expensive. cool stuff though. Steve Saleen offers a multi-color paint job on his mustangs that has about 5 colors it changes between. only thing is that it costs $10,000
