What is the kick down passing gear switch called?

Don't have a passing gear.I figure maybe the switch is bad.
Don't know what the switch is actually called on a TH400 unless it's just called the kickdown switch.
I only looked in one catalog so far and can't find it.

I always thought it was just the kickdown. Can't recall or even make up a different name for it.

A Detent Switch maybe? At least that is what it is on the '73.

Thanks for the replies guys.
It is a Detent Switch.
I see one in rik's but for 70-77.
It seems a '68-'69 isn't listed.
Any ideas?

Are u sure it is hooked up??? when I put in my new tourque converter mine was actually unhooked

Sort of :lol:
Thinking back never had a problem after performance trans rebuild and 2400TC.
This problem started after I went from a Holley Avenger carb to my Lars rebuilt qjet which runs great.
Linkage?
