This is quite common. Your car has the ultimate traction and is built not to spin. When you spin you are not moving ahead. Enjoy the car. If you want to spin try it on wet raods. :)

Yes, normal for stock SB. Sting Rays did not have traction problems until BB.

Some of us w/ SB esp. BSB have fixed this.

As everyone has mentioned lost traction obviously = slower launch. With 225-255mm wide tires and less than around 200 horsepower, you'll see very little wheel spin, especially with a positraction rear end. Not really a bad thing.

I have 460 hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque? what is this Lack of wheel spin of which you speak?

Actually it hooks quite well, a little spin off the line, then it locks in!

200 hp stock - 20% gives you 160 hp at the rear wheels, ain't gonna cut it.

I have to disagree. I may be wrong but I don't think that "net" horsepower factors in drivetrain losses. One reason is that for a particular engine, only one horsepower rating is given. If a car was available with different rear-end ratios, that would probably affect the net horsepower rating.

When the industry went to a net horsepower rating in '73 or soI think it was the gross horsepower minus the losses from ther ancillary equipment (PS pumps, AIR pumps, alternators, etc).
