I am not being pissy here but I just don't get it. People pay extra from a z71 pickup and they get a badge people play extra for zo6 and get a badge yet we pay extra for z51 and get no badge? Why?

I can't really answer that, sir. But I can somewhat see where you're coming from. But the badge that adorns a Z71 truck/Tahoe/Suburban was and is a bit obnoxious personally. If you had a badge in mind similar to what the Z06 wears, I could see that being a possibility. Ever since the release of the C5, the vette has earned the reputation of being sleek and "clean" in nature and design and some big, outlandish emblem just would not be at home on one. I don't own a C7 though. I have a C6 Z06. Although I'm not 100% sure how I feel about the C7 yet for myself, I can certainly see its appeal and it's clearly a formittable force on the road and I'm proud to share the road with you guys. As a matter of fact, I'm a fan of understated. Meaning, some people don't know or recognize a Z51 when they see it. So let'em find out the hard way, lol. When they're looking at that angry rear facia you guys are sporting. Just like the guy in the GT500 found out the other day it was a H/C/I Z06 he was toying with, lol. He pulled up next to me and said "sh*t, I didn't realize I was f$cking with a cammed Z06", lol. Enjoy the same fun. But just in corners.

GM has a deal with Ecklers. Anything cheap and tacky you need to "dress up" your car you can buy from Ecklers.

Badges usually denote a model as in Grand Sport, 427 Convertible, Z06, ZR1. Z51 was and still is a Performance Handling Pkg. It has been an option since 1984, included in the GS's and now it seems for the first time in 30 years it is being called a model. So maybe if it is in fact a model, maybe it should have the Z51 badge. BTW...I still consider Z51 to be an option not a model of Corvette.

I want 3LT badges on mine too. Why stop with just one?
In fact, maybe Chevy should just laminate the window sticker onto the hood of every C7.

Personally for me, if it came with a Z51 badge, I'd take it off.

i didn't say gaudy looking I just said something tasteful to show the extra money spent it could be a choice in the build. I think I nice little z51 in chrome or black under the stingray or a little chrome one on the back right of the car would be fine as a choice. so you badge haters can have a naked car can be naked and we can have little g-string spice on ours.
