Default LSX in a ZR1

Well I already post some vids of my 2012 ZR1 it has 5000miles almost a brand new car. The thing is that I also have a 2006 C6 Corvette with a 440LSX, ported LS3 heads, Z06 TB, F1X, ATI damper, 444 Comp Cam and supporting mods.

I am about to sell the car and was wondering if I could use any of those mods in my ZR1. I was thinking on heads, cam, damper and TB but swapping the complete engine could be easier. What do you think guys? Should I go for the complete 440LSX? Do you know if its compatible I dont want any codes?

Thanks

What do you mean by codes?

LSX engines find themselves in to all sorts of LS1/2/6 born cars.

I do think it would devalue the car but if you dont care about that than go for it. Why not throw a blower cam in the LSX and put the LS9 blower on top of it and go from there?

As for the LS9, you can always sell the long block and pick up an LS2 for not a whole lot of money and dump it in.

If you're serious Morphin, the last place I would ask for advice for your questions would be here. I can't believe you have not gotten a rise from some of these folks yet

You really should be talking to the reputable speed shops.....

And, you must have a lot of money to burn too, so I wish you the best on whatever you decide to do.

You're considering swapping out an LS9 in a ZR1? Please say you're kidding.

call Matt or Joe @Tune Time Performance 732-349-7800..

He knows almost everything about the subject. has a CNC machine, in house engine builder and has swapped more engines in brand new cars (guys in ZL1's ZR1's race cars, etc, looking to go fast reliably) than i can count.. good luck with your sale and project. Tony

My buddy's ZR1 made 1132rwhp on a 200shot of nitrous. Is it an ls9, lets see.
Aftermarket block 427 or 430ci I forget which one he has in there now, Aftermarket crank, Aftermarket rods, Aftermarket pistons, Aftermarket cam and valve train, Aftermarket valve covers, Aftermarket bell housing, Aftermarket headers 2", Stock alternator, water pump and miscellaneous parts. The super charger is stock but heavily ported. No joke, this is a very professional done engine, you would not be able to tell it is not a ls9.
This ZR1 is just a monster aka King Kong.

Don't have any video of dyno but have a print out,
torque numbers did show for some reason.

Car was at Tx2k Roll race but broke transmission shaft, since then its been upgraded was also Texas invitational. Not sure what he ran there but the 300 shot of nitrous was too cold and blowing out the spark.
I will see what else I can find.
Maybe my buddy has videos.

I had to read it twice myself. If I could afford a ZR1 there's no way I'd consider pulling that LS9 engine. Think twice if you decide to pull that engine!

Why buy an ZR1 for this, a GS would be a much better candidate.

Pull that engine and sell it. Make that Zr1 fast, the selling price for the engine could get a lot of go fast parts. Do what you want to and you will always know that you didn't settle for something else. What ever makes you happy. Its just a car and can be replaced.
Personally I wouldn't do it id buy a Z06 and put Zr1 Parts on it.
