Only strange because I do not post much on any forums. The runs were at the LSX Shootout and I was there to have some fun and run the car down the track. The real street car that Rodney from RPM Transmissions drives and now owns was my car until I sold it to him this summer. Just to let you know I know a little about what I am talking about.

I will be running my A6 car at an Atco rental on Monday.

Great times. People thought my times were slow but for the conditions and how I ran it I thought the car did ok. Autos rock. If I ever buy a c7 it will be an auto. The manual was ok, but nothing like an automatic for going fast.

If you want to have fun get a manual if you want to go fast get an auto

I wonder if things like 91 octane and heat soak really kill the c7 power/times. I literally drove for 2 hours, went through tech and started making runs. Car was 220F. Never even opened the hood.

We are just starting to see these cars go to the track with about 4-5 times being posted.
They are bound to get nothing but faster.

I got a test run for rumble class latter that day and left the TC off did a very small burn out to clean the tires hit it off idle and ran a 12.02.
The next day in rumble eliminations did the same procedure and ran a 12.04. I advanced because the guy I ran red lit. Besides that I chose a 12.50 index so I was lucky to advance. My next run to try to slow down I left the TC on hit it off idle and ran a 12.506 but lost because
the other driver was better on the tree. The engine temp was at 220 for all the runs.

The car was in track mode and shifting was auto. I made five runs and here is how they went. The first run was after the true street cruise. I left TC on and went right to the line. I power braked it and it did no go hardly at all and got a 12.76. Next run turned off the TC, tried power braking again and went up in tire spin and got a 13.36. Last run for true street tied TC off and no power brake and ran 12.36 but spun some.

I suppose it's going to be track-dependent on whether or not they'll hold any rpm's against the brake without blowing off the tires. I should have plenty of time to play around with launch methods on Monday. Hopefully the weather holds as it is currently predicted...60's and sunny.

Yah, really sad. My friend has a $4k fox body that runs 10s so obviously that is the way to go. My other friend has an old Camaro that is faster too.
I think 12.0 is great for a bone stock car on stock tires 1st time out. They will only get faster and with mods who knows, but they aren't going to get slower.

The people pissing and moaning about a handfull of times are ridiculous and show how they are not true Corvette fans, who dismisses all the advancements and compares a modified C5Z to a stock base C7.
