Experienced tune help needed
I'm very new to tuning so please bare with me. I have a '87 vert with a '90 l98 383 stroker. I have an ANHT memcal in the ecm which I assumed was a stock tune but when I burned a chip with a stock ANHT bin it wouldn't even start and it gave me the sys light by the tacho. That completely confused me cause it should be the same as the memcal My BLM reaches and settles at 160 after a 20 minute drive and so I want to tune that to spec and I want to tune whatever I can to get best low end torque performance. Anyone have advise for me?

You say it's an 87 with a 90 383. The original 87 was mass air flow, 90 speed density. Or does it have a maf still? Or been converted to a 730 ecm with map?
Just because there's a sticker on memcal doesn't mean it's that stock program-and seriously doubt it would run for poop with a stock program if it's a modded 383.

You probably have a custom tuned chip, specially a speed density 383 modded engine doesn't tollerate a stock chip
i don't like to see an engine running super lean at 160 blms.

I'd like to pull my bin from my memcal to look at what's on there but I don't have moates adapter for memcals. I have the apu1 with a G1 adapter. There's no way to pull the bin from the aldl cable right?

It's running but not to the spec I'd like. I keep getting an EGR code but I have EGR deleted. My main goal is to tidy things up and fine tune my BLM's and other things. I don't have a wideband

i have an Ostrich 2 from Moates,as you probably know this is an emulation device that works with Tunerpro RT.you need an adapter and you can simply connect it to your ECM and chanhe your .bin parameter on the fly while your driving the car (have an assistant). While you change paramenter you can see how BLMs change, then save the new updated bin and leave the litttle box connected to your ECm.No more need to burn a new chip, since you can use the Ostrich as a solid state memory device, turning your old ECm into a "new" flashable unit.

Yes I use tunerpro rt. I have a log from last night I can look at. Do you want me to post the log or just tell you the blm's.
And yes I'm familiar with the ostrich 2. I have the apu1 and I can emulate as well but I'd like to see my current tune before I start changing things.
