C7 Emblem on C5
This might be sacrilege to some people, but i'm just curious if anybody has done it and how it looks? I'm not sure if it would flow well with our cars since the C5 is so round compare to a C7. Just curious though. I'm needing new badges for my car and have been contemplating it because i like the way they look.

Your car, your choice, but IMO, the C7 emblem doesn't belong on the C5. But, I do like the look of the C7 emblem - and some day I hope to have the emblem, and the actual car, sitting in my garage.

I had a C6 emblem on the nose of my coupe. But no one ever noticed it until I pointed it out.
They were too busy staring at my wheels.
I my self have tossed around the idea to put C6Z06 emblems on my C5Z, except I'd get the 505hp part polished off...

So you want to stick on an emblem and pretend? It's considered a major faux pas and you might as well go to Walmart and pick up a few stick on vents while you are at it.
I can tell you may be new to Corvettes, so I apologize if it came out too harsh. But toss that idea away and chalk it up to learning what generation your car is.

I would rather celebrate everything great about the C5 generation as I still think it is one of best-looking designs that ever came out of GM.
I like the latest and greatest as much as the next guy, but I also like to celebrate my C5 so when I get my C7Z stablemate, they will remain distinctly separate but equally impressive!
I know the politically correct response is "It's your car, do what you want." however although a casual onlooker might not notice the logo, the Corvette enthusiasts will perform a mind eye-roll if they see a C7 logo on a C5. Right there with stick on fake Z06 rear brake ducts.

The mayor and Dr. Venkman discuss putting a C7 emblem on a C5 generation.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
Mayor: All right, all right! I get the point!

Not something I would want to do...
To most people that have no clue they would not notice anything different.
To guys like us we would laugh and point at you.....

I say do what you want... just because you put a different generation badge on your car doesn't mean you're pretending... you might just like the way the badge looks. I put a pair of C3 flags on the front fenders of my '04 just above the cove (just like what was on my '98 that I recently lost, it came that way when I got it and I liked it so much I put them on the '04)
They're clean and look nice on there. I did own a C3 once upon a time, but it was one of the worst years ever made performance wise ('76) and I'm a bigger fan of the C2 gen. Just like that particular emblem though and I don't think a C5 emblem would look good in that spot.

Lol everybody gets so uptight on here about little ****. I'm not new to Corvettes, but I have stayed away from them for the simple fact that majority of the owners have been ****** that are narrow minded. Thats why i stayed with Fbodys for so long. Its not like i was badging it with the Stingray emblems and trying to pass it off as a C7 because its not. The flag design just interests me. Everybody on this forum needs to just take a damn breath and relax because I have seen some horribly gaudy stuff done to Corvettes that pass for normal to the older generation.

As far as the comment on Vette owners being ****** and narrow-minded, I've only experienced the opposite. I've made a lot of good friends via this hobby, and your experiences seem to be to the contrary. Not saying there aren't Corvette-owning jerks out there, but I've found them to be in the minority. Comments like yours are typically coming from non-Vette owners.
Enjoy your new emblems. I'd like to see what they look like, too, not that I'd put them on my C5.
