This week..... 10 years ago.....
Guys:
So its the 10th Anniversary of me buying my brand new 2004 Z06 from El Dorado Chevrolet in McKinney, Texas.
This week..... 10 years ago.....
I was 32 yrs old...
My wife was 3 months pregnant with my son.
Pictures of the C6 were just released and I had no desire to get the new design.
I had to have the TOP OF THE LINE Z06.
Sticker on my Z06 was $53,900.
I worked a deal to buy my new Z06 for 42,500.
Here is me buying it new from the dealer in McKinney Texas, March 2004.
Notice all the C5's at the dealer in the background.
Here it is the day I brought it home.
Notice I already had MODS ready !
Short antenna, and exhaust plate...
Mods started the first day I bought it !
Ignore the 4x4 look. I fixed that (see further down).
My son Alexander was born 6 months later.
The BEST mod I ever made !
My.... My... How time flies... He is 9.5 yrs old now...
Over the years I performed a lot of Performance, Interior, and Exterior Modifications.
Always trying to keep the "clean" appearance of the car that attracted me to it in the first place.
Today I went to the original dealership to get the SAME pic my wife took of me 10 years ago when I bought my Z06.
The dealership has gone thru a transformation, not unlike my Z06 over the years... .
I only have 29,600 miles on it to date.
Yes... I'm a "waxer" and Damm proud of it...
Here are a few pics I snapped today and last night.
Here is to the NEXT 10 years of cruising fun !
I honestly enjoy driving my Z06 MORE now, then the day I bought it.
My Z06 is part of the family now !

Great recap of a decade of ownership. Beautiful car too.
And just think - six and a half years from now he'll be asking for the keys to the Z.

Epic thread !! My first car was a 70 AMX 390 4 speed and wish I could have done this same thing with all my rides lol.
Love how your son is barefoot in all the pics(bet he had to brush them off before getting in the car too)lol.
Jeez yours was the full 4X4 off the lot haha but looks awesome now !!

That's awesome man congrats! That was a great deal you got on the car when you bought it, I guess with the c6 coming out it was easier to negotiate on these. Car still looks great.

Has been and always will be one of my favorite cars. I never get tired of seeing pictures of it. It's amazing how quickly time passes. Your son will be driving it before long. My "little boy" is 33-years old.
